2016年10月24日至28日 English Week(More Photo) The last week of October, our students celebrated their English Week with a theme of animals. Each morning they were presented with a different text type and given the opportunity to submit their answers for prize redemption at the end of the week. Students also enjoyed testing out their skills while trying to say animal tongue twisters throughout the week.
On Friday, our students finished their week of celebration with a series of games in the Student Activity Centre. They tried hard to complete each task to receive stamps, which they could redeem for prizes. There was a lot of commotion at the Animal Ring Toss booth as students were given pictures of animals which they had to toss their rings over and answer a question about the Chinese Zodiac. Cheering could be heard from the Saving the Animals booth as students had to skip to catch the animals and return quickly to the finish line. At the Animal Sound booth, they also had a lot of fun identifying the animal sounds by listening to the sound and trying to identify which animal made that sound. In the Animal Optical Illusion booth, there was a lot of discussion as students looked at 3D pictures with special glasses to find the hidden animals. Laughter echoed through the Animal Race booth as students had to mimic the way animals move to reach the finish line and obtain their stamps. Finally, lots of funny faces were captured as students and teachers took turns having their pictures taken in the Animal Photo booth.
To conclude, our students had a lot of fun completing the activities and participating in English Week. They got to practice their speaking skills and learn more about animals. An excellent time was had by teachers and students over the week.
